My ornate style of art derives its roots from India whose cultural and traditional influences can be seen in my works. I started to draw 5 years back for the sheer joy of it and have’nt stopped since. I did have an interest in art growing up but it took a backseat to everything else. They Art is therapeutic and meditative , I have been experiencing these wonderful properties of art and more for the last few years. I started to sell art couple of years back after getting few requests. I currently sell my art prints on Etsy and also take custom orders. I am currently a part time artist only , I am a full time software engineer, happily married with 2 kids.

I often get asked what my art style is called. While you may find similarities and influences to various art forms , I do not have a name other than calling it ornate style of pen art. My style is self-taught and draws influences from Mehndi and Henna patterns and also from various art forms like Kalamkari and Madhubani. Subject matters in my art varies, however they do center around few common themes. Example : Hinduism with emphasis on Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Dance Series - Artwork of various dance forms from all over the world . Incorporating designs and patterns and mandalas into whatever subject matter I think of has been what I like the best.

Most of my artwork is mono-chrome and I use black ink based pens . I do incorporate color as well from time to time either in backgrounds or fill. The feel of pen against paper is something I can never get over with.
